Got Bugs? No Problem

One of Metaverse’s fastest growing service offerings is its QA testing services.  A natural complement to the company’s consulting and community support services for digital products and games, Metaverse has seen significant growth in its QA work since the addition last fall of Vice President of Professional Services, Regine Weiner.

“We provide top-notch quality assurance testing for a wide variety of platforms, including online, mobile, and digitally-connected physical products, said Regine, whose expertise comes from a decade of bringing new products online with Disney, Cartoon Network, Gazillion Entertainment, and Nickelodeon.  “This type of work is traditionally accomplished using expensive and cumbersome test labs, but we achieve the same results with our distributed and diverse workforce,” she added.  “They run the gamut from entry-level enthusiasts to experienced engineers.”

Metaverse covers three levels of quality assurance:  play testing, general defect detection, and full-blown quality assurance program management.  Core services include creating optimal test plan documents, analyzing and optimizing the user experience, beta test management, and outsourced load, scale, and swarm testing.  For products nearing release, the team also recommends polish for features and then performs ongoing bug testing and project support upon launch.

Managing the QA team across the company’s various projects is Metaverse’s senior manager, Jason Ferguson (@gamerglacian).  “We love to get into the heart of a product and help our developers focus on creating the content rather than tracking down pesky issues,” says Jason, who graduated with high honors from Baker College in Computer Information Systems and has worked on countless projects for Metaverse since he joined the company in 2009.  “We are a friendly, detail-oriented group whose main goal is to make our customer’s product better.”
