Fueling Their Passion: Things the ModSquad Community Loves
At ModSquad, passion is at the core of everything that we do. Our Mods pour a lot of heart into each project, fueling their work with a genuine interest and excitement for the brand, service, or product. We’re an enthusiastic, impassioned bunch, with varied interests that kindle our curiosity in our downtime.
Last year, on Valentine’s Day, we explored some of the things that spark joy for members of our squad. We were blown away by the diversity of topics in our team’s responses and knew we had just scratched the surface. That’s why, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we’ve once again asked our people to tell us about the things they love. We weren’t disappointed — this is a group of folks with a lot of heart!
“I love spending time outdoors. Living in Colorado gives me the opportunity to get outside almost every weekend, regardless of the season. Camping, hiking, snowboarding, and exploring small mountain towns — those are just some of my favorite ways to be outside.”
— Caroline M.
“Wall art is a way to produce graffiti-style art in appropriate places. Here are some of the pieces I have done around my house and my brother’s house. These were done with a Posca pen, drawing freehand.”
— Elodie F.
“Our family loves going to Disneyland. Ever since our kids were small, we have enjoyed wonderful family trips. I grew up 10 minutes from Disneyland and I love taking my kids and sharing stories about how it used to be. We even have a Disney-themed guest bathroom, complete with a photo of the time we got to open the park! My kids are now 17 and 14 and still beg to go to Disneyland! We owe them a trip to see the new Galaxy’s Edge.”
— Gina M.
“My joy is watching my son Ryder play hockey. It’s one of the very few times a week that my phone is shut off. I am away from my home office and 100% committed to being there with him as we does something he loves. He has been skating for a year and is progressing at a rapid rate. When he’s suited up and playing with his teammates, his smile is contagious. It’s pure joy, and I couldn’t be more proud. Seeing your son have such happiness is truly what it’s all about.”
— Halsey B.
“I absolutely love to travel. The United Kingdom is one of my favorite places. I also love photography. Last May, I was at a boat party on the Thames and captured this shot of Tower Bridge.”
— Aimee B.
“I am passionate about coaching lacrosse. It allows me to stay involved with a sport I grew up playing while also supporting young girls who are pursuing the same passion. There are so many lessons to be learned, from being a team member to the art of competition. I coach for a high school varsity team and another club team. It has been very rewarding to have an impact on the youth in my community. Last summer, I was fortunate to be selected to coach the Pittsburgh team in a national tournament, where the best high school players competed against teams from all over the country. I look forward to seeing the game of lacrosse grow and seeing girls make an impact in their own communities.”
— Brittany F.
This Valentine’s Day, we’re reminded of why we love this squad and admire their deep passion to their work and their personal interests. Whether they’re enjoying time with family, with other members of the community, or exploring new lands, their unbridled joy is infectious. Hopefully these stories inspire you to find new ways to feed your passions this coming year.
