People of ModSquad – April 2023

ModSquad

Great social media requires a sound game plan and flawless execution – strategy and tactics.

It is no surprise that Brittany F. is one of our all stars. With over a decade of experience playing, then coaching, lacrosse, she has brought her winning attitude and skills to ModSquad. It’s the reason brands like Tillamook and DFW value having her on their teams, and we love having her as a colleague.

After playing lacrosse through college she traded in her jersey to take the field as a coach. Initially, Brittany worked for sporting brands Dick’s Sporting Goods and Ready Nutrition in sales and marketing. But she soon had her sights on a bigger goal.

“ModSquad is a leader in digital initiatives from customer support to social media strategy and I knew I wanted to be a part of that. I was so intrigued by the work the company was doing and the clients they worked with,” Brittany says.

Spoiler alert: she made the team.

These days, Brittany is on team ModSquad as a Community Manager and Digital Strategist. As a 3 year veteran she creates digital strategies and manages campaigns for clients both big and small. She works closely with our clients and the internal team to establish quality processes and drive success. “I primarily work on engagement projects and that means doing anything from managing social media accounts,” she says about her role, “carefully crafting content, launching communities, kicking off ambassador campaigns, and more.”

During her time here, Brittany has been one of our most valuable players on many of our most successful projects.

For starters, Brittany played a key role in our work with Dallas Fort Worth Airport. When DFW came to ModSquad, their goal was to be in the top 10 airports for customer engagement over a 5-year horizon. But little did they know that in the social media game, we own the ground. Brittany not only spearheaded the 23 hour-engagement schedules but also drove 1 million engagements for DFW.

The result? DFW became a top 5 airport for customer engagement.

For social media, it doesn’t get bigger than the Superbowl. So when #Nationalcheddarday (2/13) landed on the day of the big game in 2022, our client Tillamook knew this was an amazing social opportunity.

The challenge? Finding social experts who could nail their unique tone and brand. Brittany was ready. “Our goal was to engage with fans on social media asking them to join the party on 2/13. We had fun with fans and brands, followed along with #nationalcheddarday chatter.”

Of course, Brittany didn’t merely watch from the sidelines. She spent the day in the “war room” with the client to help ensure everything ran smoothly.

“Brittany is laser-focused. Her passion for her clients and (frankly, nearly stubborn, ha!) dedication to their end goals constantly blows me away. From establishing robust community operational plans to high-touch, on-brand engagement, Brittany excels. Her knowledge of the industry and adept handling of high-profile campaigns has made her a cornerstone on my team,” says Izzy Neis, Head of Digital at ModSquad.

Brittany attributes her success to her time as an athlete. “Looking back, I’ve realized that the concepts I learned through playing a sport (determination, dedication, discipline) helped me be successful in life and at work. These are the characteristics I passionately instill in my players, and try to exemplify in my role at ModSquad.”

The coach in Brittany is always looking for ways to improve the team. She also adds “I feel proud to have the opportunity to support others – not only our clients but our team of community managers as well. Making sure our people have the tools they need to be successful.”

When Brittany is not crafting those incredible digital strategies for our clients or coaching her lacrosse team, she enjoys spending family time at the beach, along with her dog. She is also busy planning her upcoming wedding and renovating her home.

“So a lot of my time outside of work has been spent sanding, painting, drilling, and designing my house. I’ve really enjoyed the design aspect where I get to be creative and bring my visions to life with DIY projects. The sweat equity is on another level!”

We know it will be spectacular. From what we’ve seen, once Brittany puts her mind to something, the outcome will always be a win.
