ModSquad Promotes Izzy Neis to Head of Digital
It’s always exciting to cheer on one of our own as their achievements are recognized. And when it comes to Izzy Neis, her career highlights are plentiful… and plenty impressive! That’s why it’s no surprise — and why we’re so pleased to announce — that Izzy has been promoted to ModSquad’s Head of Digital.
It’s a well-deserved acknowledgement of Izzy’s great work for ModSquad. In her time with the company, the multitalented bundle of positive energy has worked with numerous clients while leading the digital media team and overseeing community and social media services. She’s one of the company’s primary go-to people, always ready, willing, and able to lend a hand (and her expertise) when needed, often consulting both internally and externally on a wide range of projects. If you’ve had the pleasure of speaking with Izzy, you know she’s terribly passionate about chocolate chip cookies (don’t mention raisins), youth entertainment, dreaming big, and Scotland. With Izzy, it’s not just “glass half full” but “what other cool things can we stick in the glass?”
It was in 2012 when ModSquad named Izzy as Director, Digital Engagement. She came to us after years in the online space, a longtime leading voice in community management, digital safety, moderation, and customer engagement. Izzy has presented at a variety industry events, including congressional meetings discussing COPPA, children’s safety legislation.
Beyond being recognized as an authority on children’s safety topics, Izzy has deep knowledge about the juncture of childhood development and kids’ entertainment, with a focus on children’s online safety. A published children’s book author, Izzy is our go-to authority on all things pertaining to kids, social media, digital communities, and pop culture in general. When she’s not playing D&D, painting, or dreaming up stories to write, she’s crushing it for ModSquad while, as she says, “working from home with a very vocal velociraptor baby.”
Izzy (whose conversation about community moderation with Two Hat’s Carlos Figueiredo was recently featured on the CMX site) will have expanded responsibilities as our Head of Digital. She will be managing the growth of community, engagement, and social program development, integral to both our clients and ModSquad’s internal teams.
From all of us at ModSquad, three gazillion cheers for one of our true shining stars! Izzy Neis is one of the driving forces that helps keep ModSquad moving forward. Read the full press release here.
