ModSquad CEO to Speak About the Future of Work at Crowdsourcing Week
On September 10, crowdsourcing thought leaders will meet for the one-day CSW Summit Bangalore in India. Among the innovators attending the Summit is our very own ModSquad Founder and CEO, Amy Pritchard. Amy will be speaking on “The Future of Work in the World of Co-Creation.”
Since founding ModSquad in 2007, Amy’s mission has been to harness the power and skills of a remote, worldwide workforce to meet brands’ ever-increasing community and customer service needs. At CSW Summit Bangalore, Amy will discuss how the work-from-home model taps into the desire for workplace flexibility and enables businesses to outsource services — customer support, community moderation, and social engagement, to name a few — at a much higher quality and lower price than traditional call centers. She’ll share how this business model functions in the U.S. and worldwide, despite regulations that vary from state to state and country to country.
Nine years ago, Amy shared a virtual office within the Second Life world with four other employees. Their first job was to serve as avatar “bodyguards” for then Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich’s avatar within the same virtual world. Now, ModSquad has physical operation centers in Londonderry, Northern Ireland and Sacramento, California, 250 employees, and over 10,000 independent contractors (our “Mods”) worldwide in more than 50 languages.
If you’re attending CSW Summit Bangalore, don’t miss “The Future of Work in the World of Co-Creation” at 10:55 a.m., directly following morning tea.
And be sure to follow ModSquad on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, where we’ll be sharing highlights from Amy’s presentation.
We can’t wait to hear about your trip, Amy!
