Mod of the Month – September 2022
When it comes to hobbies, interests, and especially pets, our latest Mod of the Month has been busy as a bee! Let’s learn more about this month’s featured Mod, Amanda F.
Starting with her home life, we can confidently say that in the entire span of our blog, no other Mod has quite the passion for her pets as Amanda. Her brood includes a dog, two cats, four ducks, 26 chickens (with more still hatching), and tens of thousands of bees. Seven hives worth, in fact, including two swarms she personally rescued!
Her small farm is definitely time consuming, but it’s not her only interest. Amanda also loves to spend time with her family, which includes her husband of 22 years, and three boys.
Making a difference has always been important to Amanda. When she heard there was a substitute teacher shortage at her son’s school, she launched into action to teach, focusing primarily on very young students in kindergarten.
Eventually, the need for teachers faded. Still looking to make a difference, especially with a job that fit her home life, she discovered ModSquad. “I sought a job that was flexible, allowed me to stay at home, and enabled me to take my kids to/from school. With ModSquad, I love that you can find different types of projects and just find something that fits your needs.”
Amanda soon landed a project working on phone support. “I think I excel at phones the most because I like helping people who are in a hurry.” She explains, “And there are also the people who want to take the time to talk through their issue. I love hearing their stories and being able to help them when they call.”
Just as ModSquad fit all of the boxes for Amanda, she fit in perfectly at her new project. A fairly new Mod, who joined the team in April of this year, she’s greatly impressed her team. Here’s what her colleagues have to say:
“Amanda works with our team on a difficult project: high stakes, high expectations, and high tension. That said, customers love her! Amanda routinely receives positive customer surveys and she is a great example of a Mod.” – Kelly C.
“Amanda is an absolute joy to work with! Her communication and work ethic are stellar, which is great, but my favorite thing about her is how she shares the COOLEST pics of her little baby chicks she hatches and her honey bee operation!! A woman of many talents!” – Kelli T.
“Amanda goes above and beyond for the project, and her overall work is fantastic. She is very dedicated, flexible, and a delight to work with.” – Romina P.
