Mod of the Month — September 2021
It comes as no surprise that our Mods of the Month have their own internal fan clubs. These are our superstars, people who rock their roles day in and day out. It’s only fair that they come with supporters ready to sing their many praises.
That’s certainly the case with this month’s featured Mod, the charismatic Carl T. The praise from his colleagues is truly impressive. So much so that we’re going to take a break from tradition and let Carl’s colleagues speak first, because boy, do they have a lot to say!

With so much fanfare behind this popular Mod, you may not expect to hear that Carl is a relative newcomer to ModSquad. He has certainly made a big impression in just six months. In that time, he has built strong connections here at ModSquad. He credits his success to opening up and being a part of this community, and would suggest that other new Mods do the same. “Be willing to communicate, because making friends at work makes the experience even more worthwhile.”
Clearly, Carl is someone who loves people and making connections. So it’s natural that his area of expertise is email and phone support. The ability to provide empathy to those seeking assistance is an essential part of providing quality customer service, and this Mod proves that time and again.
As exceptional as his work is, it’s the moments with his colleagues that bring a smile to his face when he reveals his favorite ModSquad moment. It involves — wait for it — a Viking costume. Before you start thinking we need to talk about dress codes, let us explain. As part of a weekly internal challenge, the goal was for two colleagues to dress up as twins. Not satisfied with just matching outfits, Carl and a fellow Mod decided to dress up as twin Vikings in handmade costumes fashioned out of household items. Their creativity and willingness to go a step beyond earned them first place!
Much like our last Mod of the Month, Carl is a globetrotter. He spent his early life in Dubai, earned his degree in Florida, and eventually settled in Sweden, having made good friends at every stop along the way. These days, he can be found with his girlfriend of 13 years and their four cats. Together, they enjoy memes, games, biking, and connecting with nature.
Before we wrap up, we wanted to get to know Carl just a bit better with a classic round of silly questions.
If you were to start a secret club, what would it be about?
I couldn’t tell you that — then it wouldn’t be secret!
What’s your favorite mythical creature?
Dragon.
If you could make any movie a musical, which would it be? Why?
I would do the opposite. I would make most musicals non-musicals — with the exception of Tangled.
What would be the silliest feature of your dream house?
An underwater, above-ground pool.
What is one weird fact or tidbit that you still remember from school?
I am allergic to camels. Learned that the hard way during a school trip.
