Keeping Kids Engaged in Virtual Worlds: It’s the Activity!
We just returned from Engage! Expo in NYC, which was once again a terrific conference with some great exhibitors and panels.
Arguably the best panel (ever) was the one I was fortunate enough to moderate on keeping kids engaged in virtual worlds. It featured community superstars Izzy Neis, Regine Weiner, and Laurie Petersen.
Check it out below. Unfortunately there’s no slide depicting Izzy’s unscripted tangent on how she stirs up fun as a crazy squid resident near The Dojo in Club Penguin, just for kicks. Definitely next year.

It’s The Activity, Stupid: Keeping Kids Engaged
The key to success for any virtual world is user engagement. As virtual worlds become more competitive, it has become increasingly important to make the online experience exciting for new users and fresh and dynamic for its regulars. As developers rely on similar tools and compete for overlapping demographics, how can you stand out?
