Jennifer Lowe to Speak at Mashable’s Social Media Day Meetup
In celebration of the first ever, global Social Media Day on June 30, PureMatter will host a “Meetup” event at its agency’s office in downtown San Jose, California, and among the speakers will be Metaverse’s own
Director of Online Media, Jennifer Lowe.
Social Media Day was created by social media website Mashable.com as a day to celebrate the revolution of media becoming a social dialogue. The idea has been met with great enthusiasm, generating almost 600 “Meetups” scheduled for June 30th in different cities around the world. PureMatter is host to the only San Jose Meetup to connect enthusiasts with others in the “capital of Silicon Valley” to network and share what’s working, what’s not, what’s new and what’s coming in social media.
Pete Cashmore, CEO and founder of Mashable.com will present the idea, goal and purpose of Social Media Day via streaming video and live Twitter feeds will be running during the event tracked by using the hashtag #smday. PureMatter has secured social media experts to share short 15-minute presentations to attendees. Speakers include: Martin Doettling, VP of Product Marketing at Coremetrics (online marketing optimization and web analytics products), Boaz Ronkin, Product Marketing Director & Social Media Strategist at Coremetrics, Jennifer Lowe, Director of Online Media at Metaverse Mod Squad (online community managers, gamemasters, moderators, customer support teams) and Anne Driscoll, Vice President of Business Operations at Ning.com (online platform for organizers, activists and influencers to create their own social network).
