Happy (Fiscal) New Year 2020!

ModSquad

Here at ModSquad we celebrate the new year twice—on January 1 and once at the start of our fiscal year. For us, October 1 is the big day. It’s a time to look ahead to all of the exciting projects and developments we have in the works and a great opportunity to look back at the year that was. And at ModSquad, FY 2019 was a big one. Let’s reminisce together, shall we?

ModSquad racked up some serious airline miles in FY19. We presented SXSW’s Austin attendees with their passports to relaxation at our fabulous Tropical Getaway booth (hope you were able to experience it!). In New York City, we exhibited at the Customer Service Summit, while members of ModSquad Europe were delighted to participate in Tourism Ireland’s Digital Days conference.

Of course, you’re always sure to see us at the video game industry’s main events. At this year’s Gamescom expo in Germany, we joined forces with the UK Interactive Entertainment Association; be sure to read what our very own Clive Jefferies had to say about the event. ModSquad also made the rounds to such popular events as GDC, PAX South, and PAX East.

Here on the blog, we celebrated our wonderful Mod community. We explored their hobbies (including photography, grilling, reading, and gardening) and celebrated of some of the very best of the bunch. We showcased some former Mods who are currently helping shape the company in positions of greater responsibility. Finally, we introduced a few new series, including The People of ModSquad, Cities of ModSquad, and our Social Media Close-Up.

We continue to have the coolest client and partner roster, and we’re always honored when they give ModSquad props. Reading the kind words from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Tourism Ireland, Wooga, Jayex, and Kid & Coe is humbling. Equally inspiring was being awarded the Silver Stevie Award in the Sales & Customer Service category for Contact Center or Customer Service Outsourcing Provider of the Year. Well, shucks!

As if that’s not enough, we also helped sick kids. For the fifth year, ModSquad participated in the 24-hour Extra Life fundraising event, where we raised $16,000, 100% of which goes to helping heal children. We’re super-proud of how the whole company comes together for a cause that we’re so passionate about. We also let loose by commemorating the Women’s World Cup with a fun ModSquad global competition.

As always, this is all made possible by the hard work by our truly wonderful, innovative ModSquadders. Thanks to all of them — and all of you. Here’s to a great fiscal year 2020!
