Friday Protip: This IS Your Real Job

One of my many jobs at Metaverse is running the Twitter/Facebook feeds for one of our many clients. As such, I’m lucky. No one is standing over me while I browse Twitter and making snide comments about how I obviously don’t have enough to do. The number of tweets I send is an actual metric I’m required to report to the client. Most importantly, no one is suggesting that it’s a distraction from my “real job.”

I know several people who are responsible for their brand’s media presence, but are forced to treat Facebook and Twitter like afterthoughts – something to be done during lunch, or when nothing more important is going on.

Then I saw this link, from someone who said it better than I was planning to say it: This is your real job now.
