Building and Moderating VR Communities — A Live Discussion from Austin Game Conference
Good ol’ Rich Weil is at it again. You may remember Rich, our SVP of Global Operations, from such acclaimed expo appearances as the 2016 PAX South conference and GDC in San Francisco. At both events, as in many before them, Rich spoke as an invited guest, recounting tales and sharing advice gleaned from his many years both working for, and with, the top names in the game industry.
This week, Rich is making his way to Austin, Texas to take part in the Austin Game Conference, a two-day confluence of game developers and enthusiasts. Experts from the field will be discussing the latest in the world of multiplayer, online, and social games, including AR/VR and live streaming.
And with everyone buzzing about the possibilities of VR, who better than Rich to help guide us through the potential pitfalls of moderating the brave new world of virtual reality? Catch Rich and other industry leaders in the “Moderation in Virtual Reality” discussion, Wednesday, September 21 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Delving a bit deeper into the topic of player management in the realm of VR, Rich will be back the next afternoon as he joins other game experts in sharing findings on the best way to build community leadership opportunities for VR projects. Don’t miss “Building a Lasting Community Influencers Program — For VR Projects and Beyond!” on Thursday, September 22 from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
We hope you can make your way to the Austin Convention Center on September 21 and 22. If you’re there, be sure to stop by booth 118 (right by the lounge) and say hello to Rich and the rest of the ModSquad team. Tell ‘em the ModSquad Blog sent ya!
